Hilton plans to add five hotels in Myanmar by 2017

Hilton Worldwide reached an agreement with developer Eden Group Co. to brand five hotels totaling 951 rooms in Myanmar (also known as Burma) by 2017.

Plans call for Hilton Hotels & Resorts to rebrand a 200-room hotel in Nay Pyi Taw and a 51-room property on Ngapali Beach in October.

Additionally, the 220-room Hilton Bagan and 180-room Hilton Inle Lake are scheduled to open in 2016, while the 300-room Hilton Mandalay is due to debut the following year.
