This is the opening event of various tourism and culture activities to be held in the province to promote local tourism in 2010 and the following years.

The event also attracted more than 5,000 people who attended parades on main streets of Hue city to raise public awareness of the tourism development of Thua Thien – Hue.

At the launch, a 200-kilogram plain rice cake was made. It was recognised by the Vietnam Guinness Book Centre as the largest plain rice cake in Vietnam.

Additionally, representatives of the provincial People’s Committee and other relevant units also signed their names to respond to the tourism programme entitled ‘For green-clean-beautiful-attractive Hue city’.
