The number of international tourists to Vietnam has reached 1.35 million from the beginning of the year, up 36.2% over the same period last year.

In March alone, Vietnam welcomed 473,000 international tourists, up 6% over February. Of which, the number of tourists arrivals from Cambodia this year increase by 147.2%; China, 115%;  Thailand, 37%; the Republic of Korea, 29.5%; Taiwan, 22.4%; Australia, 24.5%; Japan, 12%; France, 15.2%; and Malaysia, 14.3%.

According to the National Administration of Tourism, the number of international tourists to the country has increased rapidly this year thanks to promotion campaigns and numerous festivals organised to have attracted more foreigners to the country.
