Vietnam has secured fourth place in the world’s rankings in terms of tourism growth with a rate of more than 30%, just behind Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia and Israel by the end of April, 2010, according to the World Tourism Organisation’s latest report.
France was still among the ten countries that attracted the largest number of tourists, says the report.
Recent statistics by the Vietnam Administration of Tourism (VNAT) revealed that Vietnam received about 432,600 foreign visitors in April, up 31.3% over the same period last year. The country is expected to attract 1.8 million international tourists in the first four months of the year, 35% more than last year.
