Routes that will apply the programme include those departing from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Vientiane (Laos), Phnom Penh and Siem Reap (Cambodia), Seoul and Busan (Republic of Korea) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

Under the programme, passengers can access the Vietnam Airlines website and check-in online with any computer connected to internet. They can select their fights and seats by themselves and print their boarding pass on A4 sized paper.

The programme will be available from 20 to four hours before the departure time for a confirmed booking, valid ticket and no checked baggage

The national flag carrier launched a similar web check-in programme earlier for domestic flights from Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City to provide convenience for passengers and reduce the passenger overload waiting for check-in procedures at peak times.
